William Bolcom (b.1938) is the Pulitzer Prize winning American composer responsible for many popular pieces for piano. His "Fourth Sonata," intended as a gift for well-known violinist Henry Rubin, was written in four movements for violin and piano. This truly enjoyable piece is a fine reflection of the talents of William Bolcom.
