The study of string instruments should include ensemble playing at the earliest possible stage. Much can be gained by playing duets. This is "Volume 1" of the series. It introduces basic bowings. The first section presents duets in half and quarter notes. The remainder of the selections introduce eighth notes and dotted quarters.
