"Two Canzon Non Toni" from "Sacri Concentus (XLVI-XLVII)" by Hans Leo Hassler (1564-1612) reflects the influence of his study with the Venetian composer, Andrea Gabrieli. These two pieces first appeared in the 1612 edition of the Sacri Concentus as instrumental additions to the vocal works which were written earlier. This work has been edited by William A. Schaefer.

Technical Notes: This piece is actually arranged as double brass choir, each consisting of two trumpets, horn, trombone/baritone and tuba. This means that the printed music has a part for B Flat trumpet I for choir I and a part labelled B Flat trumpet II for choir II, and so on for the other parts. In our instrumentation list, we list 4 distinct trumpet parts (1,2,3 and 4) but the third and fourth parts are labelled parts 1 and 2 for choir 2. This holds true for all of the parts listed in this product - we list distinct parts, not necessarily what they are labelled.
The trombone parts are labelled trombone or baritone.
