This pretty little book for beginners offers the beginning tinwhistle or pennywhistle player instructions for fingering and tonguing, and also offers brief comments on music theory. The first tinwhistles were made of tin and sold for a penny in the British Isles. The instrument is still perfect for young students, and although it costs more that a penny, it remains easily affordable. The pennywhistle will be a great way to start a youngster along the road to a love of music.
