The music of Gaspar Sanz, one of the great Spanish guitarists and composers of the seventeenth century, comes to life in this fantastic collection of his works. All the works contain the original baroque guitar tablature as well as complete transcriptions into modern music notation. Quotes and excerpts from his instructional book written in 1697 help bring back the beauty and aura of the baroque guitar style. This collection also contains two audio CDs which have a selection of some of the pieces in the books. If you play classical guitar, you will fall in love with this collection.

Technical Notes: This product comes with two volumes. "Volume one" contains the complete musical contents of Gaspar Sanz's "Instruccion De Musica Sobre La Guitarra Espanola" with the original baroque guitar tablature and transcriptions into modern notation. It also includes historical and performance notes and a translation of Sanz's original text. "Volume two" contains a selection of pieces written by Sanz in modern notation.
