It is nearly impossible to overestimate the importance of this record by the Beatles. Released in 1966, "Revolver" was a recording that straddled the fence between the exuberant pop of the 60's and the coming experimental outlands that followed later Beatles albums. In order to understand, check out the optimistic buoyancy in "Good Day Sunshine" compared with the backward guitar solo of George Harrison in the track "I'm Only Sleeping". This recording is a historical marker of the music revolution that took place during the era.
