| | String Town Tunes: Concert Pieces For Teaching Beginning Strings
"String Town Tunes" includes a collection of folk songs, classical selections and pieces composed specifically for the series. This is a progressive book, and each tune demonstrates a particular challenge meant to help the student become aware of the skills necessary for playing a bowed string instrument. Beginning skills are stressed, including tone, intonation and bow control. The accompanying CD includes two versions of each song. One has accompaniment with a solo performance, the other has the accompaniment only for the student to play along.
