Bishop Ireton High School is a Catholic high school located in Alexandria, Virginia. This school is home to one of the finest wind ensembles around, the Bishop Ireton Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Our DVD video gives you an inside look at this fine group. You will learn different skills and studies to help your ensemble improve on such items as scales, chords, melodic development, and more. There are four main goals that are met each year with this ensemble. They commission a new work each year, their students receive comprehensive musicianship training, there is an international tour each year, and they present an annual combined concert with university and professional ensembles. The DVD video is aimed toward band directors and music educators. It gives tips and ideas on how to point your ensemble in the right direction.
