No one guitarist has influenced the style and sound of contemporary guitarists any more than Robert Johnson. This "King of the Delta Blues" made only 29 recordings, but these records clearly showed his mastery of the guitar. With individual lead, rhythm, and bass lines clearly evident on the recordings, you would swear that you were hearing 3 different musicians when it is actually only him, with no recording overdubs (it was the 1930s, folks).
