This album of pieces for violin and orchestra is aimed at the upper intermediate to advanced player. A full range of challenging repertoire, baroque to late romantic, awaits your participation. Your accompaniment is the Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra conducted by Emil Kahn. The solo reference versions are performed by noted American violinist Geoffrey Applegate.
This book/CD package consists of a printed music score and a compact disc which includes two versions of each song from the book. The first is a complete version with Applegate's solo, that you can practice along with. The second version is a full stereo orchestral accompaniment, minus the soloist, that you will use for performances!
