Here is a wonderful arrangement of Milt Jackson's "Bags' Groove". It has been arranged for your beginning jazz ensemble by Paul Murtha. To help your beginners learn the work, we include a demonstration CD that features this song along with several others that you might like to consider performing at a later concert. To help teach the rhythm, there is a seven bar unison pattern that you can rehearse before starting the work. This pattern features rhythms from the song and will also help the students swing the eighth notes.
