Michael Sweeney composed this work to go along with Book One of the "Essential Elements 2000" method books. It incorporates the new notes, rhythms, and theory that the students learn in the book. Many of the low voices share a unison bass part. It only takes a few players on the low voice part for it to be heard, which is a great help if you have a smaller ensemble. This work includes a demonstration CD that has this piece and several others featured on it, which is a great way to plan for your next concert. This will be perfect for your beginning ensemble.
