Louis Spohr was a Germanic composer known for his wonderful violin concertos. This work, taken from his Opus 67, is a piece that utilizes a violin duo to create its spark. The music begins with a bright and energetic entrance and then flows through a series of time changes which correspond to stylistic changes based upon the dances popular during that era. While a challenge to play, it is a pleasurable piece to perform.
