Your guitar will be supported underneath the body by the pivoting body rest, and the neck is held securely into the neck rest with a rubber strap, so your guitar can't fall down. Your guitar will not touch this metal stand directly - all contact points are cushioned with surgical-type tubing, so your guitar's finish is safe with this model of stand.
