John Field was an Irish pianist and composer who wrote several nocturnes in the early 1800's. Many of these lovely pieces were unknown in the west until after the collapse of Soviet communism. His works are graceful, expressive, and romantic. He was highly respected by Chopin, who used Field compositions for teaching his own music students. Surely they can play an important role in your music experience as well. This book will be a real treasure in your music library.
