This latest work from renowned film and television composer John Cacavas utilizes themes that suggest the excitement of space travel. Like a true sci-fi thriller, the piece uses harmonic triads spaced by the tritone, creating a feeling of mystery. The piece modulates from minor to major with a triumphant and glorious theme signaling the end of a successful journey through outer space. The legato section which begins at measure 41 suggests the concept of space travel, once again utilizing harmonic sequences previously stated.
At the "Grandioso", the harmonies move to major from minor, telling us musically that the "journey" has been triumphant and glorious.
