Johann Sebastian Bach composed this work for his second wife. The melody was set to a poem that Bach found. The beauty of the work goes far beyond the melody. There are gorgeous harmonies and unbelievable chords throughout the work. It has been arranged for your concert ensemble by the masterful Jacob De Haan.
