The eight songs in "Jazz Rock in the USA" were written by the talented composer James Hosay. The songs are intended for students and are designed to teach the elements of various pop styles and jazz improvisation. The CD is your teacher, demonstrating the correct interpretation of each style and giving improvised solo performances that are text book-perfect, inventive, and enjoyable. This well-written book is available for flute, clarinet, alto/tenor saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. Notes about the CD: The tracks on the CD are in full band arrangements. Each track is included on the CD twice, one time with the melody for practice, and one time without the melody for performance. This book is highly recommended!
