This book includes a combination of two highly-respected violin methods, combined into one volume. The Hohmann method, using the string approach, has been referred to as the easiest means ever devised for teaching violin. Hohmann's use of melodic material, rather than technical studies, made his method very popular. Wohlfart is another respected name among violinist's, bringing to mind easy studies for the beginning student. Combining the two methods in one book produces an excellent method for violin study.
