This Portugese instrument was introduced to the island of Hawaii in 1869 and has since become a standard instrument in Hawaiian music, as well as other unique musical genres. Our Lauren brand baritone ukulele featured here is a quality instrument made of Nato wood for the top, back and sides. The bridge and fingerboard are made of rosewood. Baritone-sized ukuleles give the player a lower pitched sound with a deeper darker tone than the soprano ukulele. This crowd-pleasing instrument is a joy to both hear and to play!
