Friedrich Seitz was born in Germany in 1848. Although we know that he was an accomplished violinist, there is not too much else that is known about him. He composed a few works, and this is his most popular. It offers quite a challenge to the violinist with rhythmic passages, quick finger changes, and many tempo changes. It is a work that should be pursued by all violin players.
