| | Edward Elgar - Five Piano Improvisations Although Edward Elgar is recognized as a brilliant composer, he seldom composed music for the piano. In a London recording session in 1929, Elgar improvised five pieces at the piano, each around 4 1/2 minutes in length. These recordings were unheard for many years until they were transcribed by Iain Farrington in 2005. Pianists everywhere can rejoice, and enjoy these Elgar improvisations.
