"Friends March", by Don Schaeffer, is a great piece of music to introduce your young band to the world of march music. This piece is very simple and utilizes only half, quarter, and eight notes, so the performers can focus on proper intonation and fingerings. Though simplistic, the music still is wonderful and will be loved by any listening audience.
