This tune is the TV theme for "Hogan's Heroes", the WWII barracks sitcom about POW's held in a fictitious camp. The television show starred Bob Crane and was produced by Bing Crosby's company. This march is a standard part of American concert literature, due to its catchy melody and superior playability.
