A fake book contains the melody line along with lyrics and chord symbols. It is ideal for a pianist that wants to 'fake' the left hand part (a fake book does not contain the left hand piano part - it has only the melody), or for anyone that plays a C instrument such as flute, violin, harmonica, or recorder. The tracks do not include the melody, so its all about you during performance!
About the CDs: This set includes two CDs which features both trio and quartet versions of fourteen classic Mingus compositions, performed by Mingus Big Band members. The melody is not included, so you can play along! These are very high quality recordings that will make you feel like you have your own back-up band in the room with you!
