| | Camille Saint-Saens & Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Introduction And Rondo Capriccioso & Serenade No. 5, K. 204 Written in about 1863, the "Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso" is a great show-stopper for violin and orchestra. Filled with typical Saint-Saens qualities, it is enchanting music. Mozart's 5th of 13 serenades is a lovely piece and definitely showcases Mozart at his best. This beautiful adagio was originally intended for the "Violin Concerto No. 5", but Mozart substituted another for it before the concerto was premiered. It is a beautiful single-movement concerted work as it stands, well worth the effort to learn it. This book/CD package consists of a printed music score and a compact disc which includes two versions of each song from the book. The first version is a complete version with soloist, that you can practice along with. The second version is a full stereo orchestral accompaniment, minus the soloist, that you will use for performances!
