| | Camille Saint-Saens - Concerto No. 1 Once described as the French Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens was a talented musician who made his debut as a pianist at the age of ten. As a composer, he wrote many works for all kinds of instrumentation. He did so to promote the culture of French music throughout the world.
