| | Convergence
This is a challenging work for your advanced ensemble. John Moss has been creating musical masterpieces for many years and this is one of his best. The underlying premise of the work is based on an everyday occurrence: a difference of opinion. The first musical idea is stated by the clarinet. The debate begins when the flutes, oboes, and alto saxophones add their opinions to the matter. From there the work develops until the ensemble converges on one musical idea and plays it in unison. It is a wonderful work filled with dynamic changes in articulation, style, meter, and tempo. We are sure that you and your ensemble will enjoy performing this great work. Add it to your next concert! We also include a demonstration CD with your set to be used as a teaching tool.
