This collection of pieces is a cross section of the various ways the canzon developed. Although each is a canzon and follows the format laid down by Josquin Des Perez in the late 15th century, each has its own distinctive style. From the traditional writing of Peuerl through the technical difficulty of Picchi to the elongation of line by Bargnani, each of these pieces has something unique to offer.
