Saint-Saens "Piano Works I" is the first of three series of etudes that form an important part of 19th century piano repertoire. These studies focus on several different areas, including lyrical playing, rhythm, range of the keyboard, sonority, major, minor, and chromatic thirds, and much, much more. The final six etudes add to the left hand repertory. There is much to be learned by studying the work of Saint-Saens!
