| | Folksongs In Recital, High Voice Edition
"Folksongs In Recital" provides concert arrangements, for high voice, of mostly American folksongs. These arrangements are intended for recitals of classical singers (high voice) and pianists. The final four songs ("Johnny Songs") in the book are conceived to be sung by one character, whose love for Johnny is portrayed through the progression of four songs, ranging from youthful infatuation to anxiously awaiting his return from war. Two CD's are included with this book. One includes full performances of each song, for demonstration and listening purposes. The second contains piano accompaniment only, for you to sing along.
