Presented here is volume 1 of the respected "Eighty-Four Studies" for piano by composer, performer and teacher Johann Baptist Cramer. Known in his day to be one of the premier pianists in the land, and the only one that Beethoven thought well of, Cramer composed these studies for Pianoforte. It is said that "they are of classical value for their intimate combination of significant musical ideas with the most instructive mechanical passages." According to the greatest of piano scholars, these studies are looked on as indispensable to those studying piano technique!
