| | Contemporary Christmas - Instrumental Solos For The Church Musician
"Contemporary Christmas" is a fresh collection of today's favorite Christmas songs. Each stirring arrangement reminds listeners of the wonder and greatness of the Christmas story. Since most arrangements originated as choral anthems, the keys and ranges are ideal for choirs to sing along with or to complement the soloist. These arrangements include appropriate parts for brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, French horn, and euphonium). They are designed to be performed with piano or rhythm section, or with the (included) CD accompaniment track.
Although geared towards offertories, concert performances, and Sunday service specials, these solos are great for student practice, private lessons, and band and orchestra tryouts. All you need is a CD player, and you can have a great rhythm section accompanying you while you practice and perform. Each song is included on the CD two times, once with melody for practice and once without for performance. Some of the tracks are broken down into segments of measures, for easier practice. You will love this CD.
