| | Franz Simandl - New Method For The Double Bass, Book 1 Franz Simandl was a professor of double bass at the Vienna Conservatory of Music from 1869 until 1910. His bass method summarized 19th century double bass technique and included many original compositions and transcriptions for double bass and piano. This is Book One of Simandl's "New Method For Double Bass", edited by Lucas Drew. Both English and Japanese texts are included. There are extracts from several famous composers such as, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn and others; however, the songs are not the complete work.
