This book comes from the exciting "Take the Lead" series which allows you, the instrumentalist, to be the featured soloist on specially recorded arrangements. This "Jazz" edition highlights eight jazz classics on the enclosed CD with full backing tracks. "Take the Lead" is an integrated series for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, and violin. In each edition, all the songs are in the same concert pitch key, so the different instruments can play together.
Notes about the CD: The tracks on this CD are arranged in full band format and sound exactly like the originals. Each song is included twice, one time with the melody for practicing, and one time without, for performances. This book is highly recommended!
