This book is referred to as "the number one method for young blues harp players". Maybe though, it is not just for the young. It seems somehow appropriate for "older" folks, too. It has easy-to-understand, clearly illustrated instructions that will get beginners off to a good start. First you have to get a diatonic harmonica tuned to the key of C, and a copy of this book. Then you listen to the CD (which is included), practice the pieces, and play along with the backing tracks. This great book includes a discussion of the history of the blues and of several great blues musicians along with the easy-to-follow instructions.
