| | John Pitts - Recorder From The Beginning, Book One This three-part recorder method by John Pitts comes to you from England, and has become a popular method of recorder study around the world. It is intended for youngsters, beginning at approximately the age of seven. Full explanations of all of the information is provided, and no previous recorder or any other music knowledge is assumed. These three books are beautifully illustrated, and a wide variety of songs are included in each of them. "Recorder From The Beginning, Book One" begins with instructions for holding and blowing the instrument. Several notes are introduced (B, A, G, E and C), along with several musical terms including time signature, quarter note rests, staccato notes, whole notes, tie signs, repeat signs, and more. A variety of simple exercises and songs are presented, as well.
