This super book is a (Gerry Mulligan approved) collection of lead sheets for a whole bunch of great Gerry Mulligan songs. The songs are often presented with an extra "counter line", which the player may use at his or her discretion. If you're a fan of Gerry Mulligan's compositional and performance skills (who isn't?), then you really ought to have this book.
About the CD: The included CD contains rhythm section accompaniments for the songs in the book. There is no melody included on the tracks on the CD, so you can play-along and let your style shine! The CD was recorded in 1995, under Gerry's supervision, and features some of the best rhythm-section playing ever recorded.
